What do you think about these two necklaces? The focal stones in both of these necklaces are dyed Agates. These stones are rather large measuring 2.25 inches long. Necklace 1 is made from Turquoise colored dyed Agates connected by sterling silver jump rings and sterling silver daisy spacers. Necklace 2 is made from a dyed Agate and Swarovski crystals, which hang from a sterling silver necklace. Both these necklaces will be on sale at my Etsy Shop

Random Monday

So I spent the weekend shopping for supplies on at Etsy, perusing through my wire jewelry magazine and spending time at my local beads store. I have decided buy stamping tools to make engraved jewelry. There are Etsy shops that have really great deals on the supplies. At my local bead store, I got very large focal pieces of dyed agates to make big and chunky necklaces. I have been inspired.

I am really tempted to keep the bracelet that I have featured as the item of the week this week. It came out just as I envisioned. I already know the outfit that it will look great with, so I am going to hold out posting it on my Etsy shop. I have been neglecting my Artfire shop, so what I decided to do is reinvent my Artfire shop. My new business cards don't even have my Artfire web address :( My plan is to have my Etsy Shop feature my wire jewelry and my Artfire shop have my beaded jewelry and promote it accordingly. So over the next few weeks I am going to work on dynamic beaded pieces for my Artfire shop. When it is ready, I will have a Grand Re-opening Sale at my Artfire Shop. Any colors or specific styles of jewelry you would like to see in my Grand Re-opening?

Random Monday on Tuesday?

Sorry all for the very late Monday post. The last few days have been so busy. However, this weekend my in laws threw my hubby and me a barbecue to celebrate our recent nuptials. At first, I was a little worried because all the guests were people from the church that my husband grew up in but we haven't visited since we started dating, so I didn't know any of the guests. However it was a lot of fun and everyone was so giving. So I'm thinking, off to Ikea, we need a matching bedroom set. We have a mix match set, my old night stand and my dresser and my husband's old bed, dresser and nightstand that he had since college. It is time for an update, especially since I am embarrassed to say we are sleeping in a full size bed L

This is a very random post because now I am going to discuss a very different topic. Yesterday morning, as I was walking my dogs and where I have my very in depth thoughts such as what am I going to wear to work today, jewelry pieces, what I want to make for the item of the week, you know life altering decisions ;)
As I’m thinking of my pieces, I have these great ideas for jewelry pieces but can’t find the materials that I need to create the pieces. I am getting a little frustrated. I feel that my last few pieces are getting redundant. Don’t get me wrong, I love the pieces that I made and are all jewelry pieces that I wear, but I feel I am limited based on the materials that I have. So over the next few weeks I will be researching new online and local bead stores. What I am looking for are sterling silver and copper findings and charms, so if you know any online stores or Etsy shops that have unique and cool charms, findings, gemstones and/or beads please forward my way. I will also spend my Saturdays visiting local beads stores. Wish me luck!

I am also thinking about getting engraving stamps to make personalize jewelry. I will let you know if I decide to get it.

What do you think of this sterling silver and Swarovsoki crystal necklace? I make this necklace for myself. I wanted another cross necklace. The pendant is sterling silver and Swarovski crystal AB. Swarovski crystals and sterling silver daisy spacers are intertwined in the sterling silver chain. The Swarovski crystals are connected to the chain with sterling silver wire using a gallery wrap technique.

This necklace is the same style that I made my niece, but in silver with a bigger more elaborate cross.

Future Posts

As you may all know that my day job in HR. I am a HR Manager at a health care facility. I usually work about 55 hours a week. Currently, we are down one person in our department and the work load is even heavier. With all that said I am very disappointed to say that I will have to suspend my Wednesday through Saturday posts until I am able to get caught up at work. I will continue the New Item of the Week (I really value all of your opinions), Random Mondays, Two Dollar Tuesdays and twice a month I will host Feature Fridays.

I will continue to post Fabulous Chic updates, but I will not be able to post on a daily basis. Hopefully this will not last long :(

Random Monday-Kudos to the WAHMs

Sorry for the late Monday Post. This weekend I watched my 1 1/2 year old niece. I thought it was going to be a piece of cake. I took Friday and Monday off of work and thought I was going to be a crafting diva, but this is the first time that I got the chance to blog today. I have to say Kudos to all the Crafting Moms, because it is very hard to juggle it all. The only time that I had to make jewelry or blog was when my niece was sleeping. It was certainly worth it, I loved hanging out with my niece.

I started on a few items for Two Dollar Tuesday but I will not be able to complete everything that I wanted and post the new items on Etsy by tomorrow, so Two Dollar Tuesday will be delayed until Friday. It will be worth the wait, so far I have 3 Swarovski Crystal Earrings and a Swarovski Crystal bracelet. I will work on several more items to be sold for two dollars on Friday.
