New Bag at FabulousChic, possibly??

I finished another bag today. This one is pretty retro looking. I am thinking about keep this one for myself. At first, I was not sure about the design. One of the workers in the fabric department suggested it and I wasn't sure if I like it. I didn't want to hurt her feelings and the material was pretty inexpensive so I thought why not, it is pretty funky. Now it has grown on me and I think it will look great with a necklace that I have been eyeing at one of my favorite online boutiques for accessories, JSoDet Designs at http://www.jsodet.com/ It would also match a ring that was debating on from Banana Republic and a watch that has been on my wish list. Any excuse to purchase accessories ;)

Fabulous Chic

I received a sewing machine 3 years ago for Christmas and couldn't figure out how to use it. So I have been taken sewing lessons. The first sewing class that I took was 7 weeks long and the students were able to make whatever we wanted, so my first project was a blanket for my niece. I thought it was an easy enough project to do, but it took all 7 weeks to complete. Afterwards, I took another class on how to make handbags, now this was my calling. I had so much fun making handbags that I do it at home on the weekends. I am planning on turning my hobby into a way of making a little extra cash.

Below are a couple of samples of my handbags. Let me know what you think.

My creations will be on Etsy soon. My Esty shop is called FabulousChic, where I will sell not only handbags but also dog accessories. I'll keep you updated. Below is one of my models wearing a Fabulous Chic bandanna and matching toy bone.

The Perfect Spring Coat

After 4 years, my previous trench has called a quits on me and now I am in the market for a new one. I tried the usual suspects, Gap, Banana Republic, Macy's. JCrew had great colorful coats, but pretty expensive. I was perusing through the Victoria Secret website and found this great trench. For 108.00 it won't break the bank and VS always had coupon codes.

I checked out my favorite coupon website http://www.retailmenot.com/ and I found coupon codes to reduce the price of this fabulous coat and receive free shipping.

MICHAEL Michael Kors 'Desert Large' Satchel

Okay Fashionistas,

I know I am the Budget Fashionista, looking for great steals and deals, but I am in love with this bag. However with the bag being close to $400 dollars I am not in love with this price. What should I do? Should I splurge?

Here's my challenge to find a similar bag that I love just as much for about half the cost. I will keep you updated on my findings. Wish me luck!

Are your feet sandal ready?

If you are like me, you love to get pampered at a high end salon for a pedicure. I do treat myself occasionally but on a regular basis I either go to the local nail place that charges $25, go to a beauty school or give myself an at home pedicure.

One of the nicest ways to treat yourself for a relaxing pedi, is to go to your local beauty school. Ask your salon what beauty school they graduated from or look up your local Aveda Institute. For $38 dollars, I can get a foot soak, exfoliate, foot mask, foot massage and a paraffin wax, plus I get to keep my OPI nail color at my local Aveda Institute. Not a bad deal. I leave feeling very relaxed and with enough money to get a pair of sandals to show off my fresh pedicure.

Another option, if I don't have the time or money for a salon pedicure is an at home one. I don't find that I do one very often but I am testing some products that I recently purchased from Avon. I ordered Avon's Foot Works Pedi-Peel, it was 2 for $5.99 and it received great reviews. I also ordered Avon's Foot Works Intensive Callus Cream. I will let you know if my feet feel as soft as a baby's bottom and as smooth as a high end pedi. I'll keep you posted.
