My Weekend

My husband and I went to his college roommate's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding on the Detroit Riverfront overlooking the Detroit River with Canada as the backdrop. It was absolutely beautiful. I wish I took more pictures.

They had the best wedding favors that I have seen. They had a photo booth from http://www.mobileexposures.com/, where the guests could take their pictures. One copy would go the the guests and the other goes into a scrapbook for the bride and groom. To the left is the picture my hubby and I took.

The dress I wore was a periwinkle blue dress from J.Crew see pic below. The dress is lighter color blue than in this picture.

And the necklace I wore was a Fabulous Chic Design that I made the morning of the wedding to match the necklace.

Random Monday-Upcoming Week

Friday is the day that we are tying the knot and I will be wearing dressing number one. Thank you all for your help. On Saturday, the jeweler called and told me that my ring will be ready on Tuesday. I originally bought my wedding ring online from Blue Nile. Their diamonds were good quality. It was the exact clarity and color that was advertised. However, it did not fit nicely with my engagement ring, so I went to my jeweler and he made a ring that would fit with my engagement ring. Blue Nile was really great with their were no hassle returns. My hubby-to-be had to send his ring back twice due to fit. I will post a pic of my new ring when I pick up.

For accessories, I want to keep it simple so I will make a pair or earrings and a bracelet to go with the dress. I will post pics of the accessories when I finish making them.

Spotlight on Whimsical Prints

shop; today’s spotlight is on Whimsical Prints. I have personally used Whimsical Prints to design my Save the Date magnets. Leeanna from Whimsical Prints was fantastic. I sent her my information and requested a sample on a Sunday and within a few hours she had a sample for me to review. She responded quickly to my edits and I was able to order my magnet the same day. The magnets came that same week. She truly made the experience as easy and stress free as possible. The magnets came out great and my family and friends loved them. Here is a pic of my save the date magnet.

Busy Bee

Hi my fellow fashionistas. I know I haven't been around lately to blog but I have had so much going on. I am working on getting Fabulous Chic up and running. I sold several pieces at a party that I was recently at and now I am working on marketing the Fabulous Chic line.

I also have very exciting news. I am getting married!!! So I am now trying to plan fabulous wedding on a budget. I am thinking of destination wedding in PR. We are planning 2010, so I plenty of time to decide what type of wedding that we are going to have. I have also been flirting with the idea of a cruise wedding.

I will keep you updated on the wedding plans and how I plan to stay within a reasonable budget.
