I know I'm blowing my chances of winning something but if you want honest. I can do that. I've been a designer for various well known manufacturers for the past 12 years and have also had my own line sold in upscale boutiques around the country. I now have my own online startup that focuses on featuring talented up and coming indie designers and musicians. So my opinion may count for something and I hope it helps.

The first impression I get is amateur presentation. Your photo needs to go up a notch by either photoshopping your image so to have a whiter background or just use natural sunlight. There is some great info on taking pictures on etsy.

Once I get past the poor lighting of the image, I see a bracelet this not wowing me in any way. It looks pretty basic and not very exciting. My advice is to spruce it up with monochromatic stones if you want to keep it in the purple family. The idea is to have variations. Also try to use interesting connectors, spacers or closures or simply learn or develop an interesting technique that you can incorporate into your work. As is, any beginner can make this bracelet. Its fine if you are wearing it yourself but if you are hoping to compete and make a living off of this. You are going to have to take it up several notches.

Thats my honest opinion. I hope I dont get hate mail for this. :-)

It's really cute but I think it would look amazing if you did different color stones. Maybe fuschia, purple, lavender, pink, etc. to sort of spice it up. I am a amateur jewelry designer for myself, & friends mainly but Ive discovered people like the ones that don't have so much chain & jumprings between the stones. I checked out you Etsy shop and I LOVE that "Funky Bunch" necklace. Very Chic!

Also, I am stalking, *er* following you on Twitter! :~)

I have read the comments and I can see the point, but sometimes dainty can be sexy and sweet. Purple is my favorite color too!
